The Journey

The Journey

I was a single mother working full time when my son was diagnosed with cancer. Raising my children, earning a living, and being there for him all had to happen at once.

There was no convenient order in which to face those responsibilities. I had to find my way through them together.

That experience stays with me when I lead. I know someone can show up to work and carry far more than anyone around them realizes. It matters to me that people are treated fairly, that someone notices their effort, and that a difficult chapter doesn’t become the only thing others see in them. I believe in giving people honest feedback, meaningful support, and room to grow.

Today, I’m a Regional Director of Operations, a published author, and a speaker. I’m proud of the work behind each of those roles. Writing lets me explore the stories and imagination that have always been part of me. Speaking gives me a chance to share what experience has taught me and learn from the people in the room.

At 52, I’m also pursuing my bachelor’s degree as a first-generation college student while working full time. I’m asking questions, working through subjects that challenge me, and making space for goals I still want to reach. There are days when I feel confident and days when I need encouragement, too.

I share my journey because someone reading this may be wondering whether there is still time for something they want. Perhaps you’ve spent years raising a family, meeting responsibilities, or getting through circumstances you never chose.

Your own hopes deserve a place in your life, too. I’m still learning how to make room for mine, and I hope something in my story helps you make room for yours.

Leadership Approach

Developing People
One of the most rewarding parts of my work is watching someone take on a responsibility they once doubted they could handle. I give people honest feedback, opportunities to stretch, and support as they learn. My goal is to help them build the judgment and confidence to lead in their own right.
Improving Operations

Efficiency is the foundation of success. I focus on streamlining workflows and optimizing systems to ensure that our teams can deliver high-quality results without unnecessary friction or waste.

Building Teams

Strong teams are the engine of growth. I lead by building cohesive, high-performing units that are united by a shared purpose and a commitment to excellence in every project we undertake.
